Little Projects

We've been doing little things around the house lately to get ready for the move! Cleaning out closets, throwing stuff away... yesterday I filled a trash bag full of papers, old bills, old documents/etc that I shredded. It feels really good to do deep drawer/desk/closet cleaning. Right now Reed is in the garage organizing all his tools and also making a bar for his "man cave". He is pretty excited that he is going to have an area of his own. haha.

One mini project Reed did this week was to strip the paint off an old cedar chest we have. It was painted yellow (it was painted like 8 years ago to match my old room in high school)... he painted it a "burnt red" and it looks really good! I'm pretty excited about it.

We are going to do peeper's room in Pink and Brown at the new house.... for Christmas she got two bookends that are pink/brown and while we were in TN for Easter my mom bought her a sign:

So, the pink and brown has come about by accident and I think it'll be cute.
