Fast forward 8+ hrs (woohoo, for a full nights sleep!), 6 am I look out the window... no snow. What the heck?? I decided I was going to to work, at least 1/2 day and IF it started I would head home. Well, Reed convinced me that it was coming after he'd spent the morning watching local weather.
Whelp, it's a good thing I listened to them because at about 8 o'clock it started snowing and within 3ish hours this is what it looked like outside.
I think we ended up with about 8 inches over the course of the day and Friday. Our roads weren't plowed until Friday afternoon and Friday evening our neighbor (who we've never even met) showed up to plow our drive! Of course, I baked him some thank you cookies!
This weekend the temperatures were up above freezing and it was sunny so we bundled the kids up and took them out to play. It was Pate's first time playing in the snow and he loved it! They had a ball!
We decided to make something Pate could ride instead of a snowman... we end up with a snow bull and no... that is not Reed's roping dummy covered in snow.
He loved it!
The weather was nice and sunny both Saturday and Sunday. Okay, I can handle this, if it keeps this up it'll all melt (EVENTUALLY!), right? Wrong! Tuesday at our house we got another 6-8 inches.
Here is Tuesday at about 8 AM:
View from the front window (that is our road that runs in between the two tree lines).....
Have I mentioned I hate snow?!?!
I cannot wait for this!!!
Yup, next Wednesday evening we are headed to Las Cruces!! My S.I.L. is getting married on the 9th so we are coming in for a whirled wind, soak up all the family time, visit as many friends as possible, meet baby Hannah, and eat as much New Mexican food as we can, trip!! Not to mention celebrate the nuptials! I am so excited for this wedding & family time, it's going to be awesome. Oh yea, and the bonus is we get out of the damn snow!!!
