Wishing my life away (or at least my summer...)

Do you ever feel like you are wishing your life away?  Every once in a while I have to remind myself that the planning and wishing "it" would get here sooner is just wishing my life away!  It's hard not to do that though when you have a lot of great plans. I feel like I'm really wishing our summer away with all the trips (work & personal), plans, event, etc. we have going on in the next three months.

Here is a run down of a few things I cannot wait to happen in the next couple months: (in order only by timing not by importance)

1. Kentucky Derby- I love that first Saturday in May!! I will be glued to the TV all day and have yummy snacks, even if it's just the kids and I. Love watching the ponies run! #kentuckyblood
   
   
   
2. Reed's 30th birthday.... though he won't be home to celebrate with us damn work we will celebrate the next day as a family!
3. Our second niece (Meda) will be here sometime in early May!!!! Cannot wait to see her!!!
4. Summertime for Kailee, I cannot believe she is going to be in 1st grade next year. That makes me feel old. 
5. Kailee and I are going to Memphis for McKenna Rayne's 4th birthday!!! Also, I get to meet Meda Grayson!!! Quick trip for me but...
6. Kailee will be spending an ENTIRE month in Kentucky after her & mom leave Memphis.  I'm excited for her, not me.   I know she's going to have the best time with her Mammaw (who has been calling me everyday with new ideas & plans!!! She is just as pumped as K.Rae).  I'm not sure how I am going to handle a month without her. 
7. The week of 4th of July we are going to Kentucky for 2 reasons...
1. To pick up Kailee!! Whoop Whoop! 
2. Tio (aka TeeTee) & "Wiz" are coming for vacation!  I'm excited to show them the sites of my old Kentucky home.  I'm going to try my best not to play tour guide... (this is where I lived, this is my favorite resturant, this is where I went when... you get the idea).  I plan on lots of bourbon drinking, southern eating, fireworks & good summer fun!

9. Camping at Lake of the Oazarks with friends!!! (I pushing for renting a house... hello indoor plumbing) I promise we will unplug the TV and I'll cuddle with you on the hammock! ;-) lol
   
   
   
   
10. 10 year reunion sometime in the fall, even though I know what most people are up to because of the wonderful world of social media, I'm excited to spend time people I haven't seen in a decade. 

Here's to a great summer filled with family and friends!!!! (Hopefully the weather will catch up with all my plans and it'll finally get warm in Missouri.)
