Shoes

I need advice! I'm in my best friends wedding in 1.5 week. The wedding is in Las Cruces, NM (i.e. hot) and outside. Here is the bridesmaid dress (it is knee length):

Here are the shoes that people talked me into.... they totally aren't me but I'm trying to branch out..... do they even go?? I'm totally not up to date with what is in style these days....?? The girls at the shoe store swore these would look great..... as well as friends I showed pictures to... I'm still not sure???? I can take them back and am still thinking about it.
